Born in Westville, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (MacDonald) Gordon. She trained in Providence, R.I. for her nursing degree and worked as a private nurse. She is survived by two daughters; a son; a sister. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Seymour Gourley MacKenzie, Sr.; a son, Dr. Seymour Gourley MacKenzie, Jr.; a sister, Mona. Private family service will be held at a later date in Ettinger Kennedy Memorial Residence, Rev. Boyd Vincent officiating. Donations may be made to the Colchester Regional Hospital building fund.
