Born in New Ross, he was a son of the late Alonzo and Jane (Broney) McDow. He was employed for several years at the Nova Scotia Sanatorium, Kentville, and was a well-known farmer and herdsman in the Kings County area. He is survived by his wife, the former Lena Aalders; a son; four daughters; two brothers; a sister, Leona (Mrs George MacLeod), Westville; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral was held Sunday, Mar. 20 at H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Kentville, Canon S.J. Davies officiating. Burial in Berwick Cemetery. Donations may be made to Valley Health Services Building Fund or St. James Anglican Church, Kentville.
