Donald MacPherson, 77, Denoon Street, Pictou, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, in Edward Mortimer Place, Pictou. Born in Pictou, he was a son of the late Ross and Helen (MacDonald) MacPherson. He was a former employee of Canadian National Railway and also worked for Ferguson Industries and National Sea Products prior to retirement. He is survived by a son, Donald, Pictou; a brother, Murray, Pictou; three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Doris Crowe; a brother, Aubrey. Funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Rev. Ken Stright and Rev. Lloyd Murdock officiating. Burial was in Seaview Cemetery, Pictou. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
