Born in Hodson, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late Hugh A. and Flora (MacLeod) Murray. She lived in New Glasgow all her married life, where she and her late husband owned and operated the Royal Sweets Restaurant for more than 50 years. She was a member of Trinity United Church, New Glasgow. She is survived by a son, Douglas, at home; two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, H. Roy; a son, Burstall (Bud); a sister, Isabel; six brothers, Lonnie, Milledge, Fraser, Jim, Allie and Hugh Willie. Funeral service was held Friday, Apr. 8 at H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, Rev. Howard Clarke officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Lorne Street Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses.
