Born in Woodstock, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Richard and Lovisa (Rice) Hearst. She was a member of Pictou United Church, and of Princess Rebekkah Lodge #4, having received her 70 year jewel three years ago. She was a well known artist, teaching for many years in Pictou. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Alice Morrow, Pictou; a son, Arnold, Ottawa; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; a sister, Laura; a brother, Richard. Funeral was held Saturday, Jan. 2 at McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, Rev. Don Crooks officiating. Burial will be in Haliburton Cemetery, Pictou.
