Born in Woody Point, Bonne Bay, Nfld., he was a son of the late James and Eliza (White) Martin. He operated a sheet metal shop in Cornerbrook, Nfld. before retiring to Pictou 20 years ago. He was a member of St. James Anglican Church and Eastern Star IOOF No. 1, Pictou. He is survived by his wife, the former Muriel Lodge; two daughters, Marjorie Power, Stephenville, Nfld.; Mrs Beulah Campbell, Kippens, Nfld.; a stepdaughter, Mrs June Noseworthy, Cornerbrook; three stepsons, Albert Greene, Cornerbrooke; Freeman Greene, Isle Aux Morts, Nfld.; Woodrow Greene, Ontario; a sister, Mrs Emily Roberts, St. John's; a brother, Austin, Bonne Bay; several grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Melida Strickland; a sister, Eulah; three brothers, William, Selby and Nathanial. Fune! ral was Saturday, Feb. 20 in St. James Anglican Church, Rev. Dale Cuffe officiating. Burial was in St. James Cemetery.
