Born in Summerside, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Katherine (McIsaac) Vallantyne. She had lived in Stellarton most of her life and had been a guest at Glenhaven Manor since 1977. She was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret (Mrs Elmer Fraser), Scarborough, Ont.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William; two brothers, Harry and Sheldon; two sisters, Elsie and Annie. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 12 in Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton, Rev. Calvin Russell officiating. Burial was in Christ Church Cemetery.
