Born in Blairmore, Alta., she was a daughter of Eileen (Jones) and the late Dr. Donald J. MacNeil. She attended Mount Saint Bernard College, Antigonish and graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 1957. She was involved in Connaught Street Elementary School children's library program. She worked as a dietician in Montreal and Regina. Among the survivors is a son, Michael, Antigonish; and a brother, Donald R., Thorburn. Funeral service was held January 15 at St. Dunstan's Church, Fredericton. Spring burial will be in Heritage Cemetery. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
