Ethel Lauretta Foance,85, of 12 Hillcrest Avenue, Lower Sackville, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Sept.1983. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Enos and Edith (Ward) Mosher. She was formerlyof Lawrencetown and Pictou. A member of the West Branch United Church, she was a life-member of the UCW, formerly superintendent of the Sunday school and soloist in the church choir. Surviving are two sons, Enos Hiltz, River Phillip,and Barry, Toronto; three daughters, Mrs. Blanche Conrod, Lower Sackville; Mrs. Marion Sutherland, Toronto; Mrs. Clara Aitkins, New Minas; two stepsons, Lloyd Foance and Stanely Foance, both of Pictou; two step-daughters, Mrs. Margaret Macmillan, Pictou; and Mrs Edna Day, Dartmouth; a foster son Angus MacLellan, Toronto; four sisters, Hazel Hubley, Inez Taylor, and Laura Acorn, all of the United States; Doris Scott, Dartmouth; a brother Robie, Dartmouth; and several neices and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Roy Hiltz and her second husband William Foance; three brothers and three sisters.
