Born in Stellarton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Power) Mahoney. A retired accountant, he was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and the Halifax branch of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by two sisters and a brother. He was predeceased by four brothers, and two sisters. Funeral mass was held Wed., Dec. 24 in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Lloyd O'Neil officiating. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery, Truro.
