Born in Fraser's Mountain, she was a daughter of the late James and Belle (Reid) Chisholm. She was a registered nurse, having graduated from Montreal General Hospital in 1922. She was a supervisor at the old Aberdeen Hospital; a member of Little Harbour Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the choir; a member of the Ladies Aid, and of the WMS. She was also a member of the Canadian Red Cross Society. She is survived by two stepdaughters, Mary (Mrs. Robert Turnbell), New Glasgow; Marguerite (Mrs. Morris Olson), Edmonton; a stepson, John, Woodburn; eight step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; two nephews and a niece. She was predeceased by her husband, George A.; a sister, Flossie; a brother, Alex. Funeral was in R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, Sunday! , June 5, Rev. Evelyn Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Woodburn Cemetery. Donations may be made to Woodburn Cemetery.
