William Stanley Foance, 83, of Pictou, died Tuesday, July 5, at home. Born in United States, he was the son of the late Elmer and Minnie (Stone) Foance. He was a member of the West Branch United Church, having served on the board of stewards and men's club for several years. He was also a member of Orange Lodge. Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel Mosher, Two daughters, Mrs. Margaret MacMillan, Pictou and Mrs. Edna Day, Dartmouth, three sons, Stanely and William, both of Pictou and Barry, Toronto, three step-dughters, Mrs. Blanche Conrad, Lower Sackville; rs. Marion Sutherland, Toronto; and Mrs. Clara Aitkins, Kentville; one stepson, Enos hiltz, Springhill;one foster son, Angus MacLennan, Toronto and several grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife,the former Stella Mae Innis, and one daughter, Norma. Funeral was held at 2 pm. Friday in West Branch United Church, Rev. Jeanne Stripe officiating, with burial in Bethel Church Cemetry.
