Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (McDougall) McNeill. A graduate of Pictou Academy, she worked as an accountant for the Pictou Housing Commission, Ferguson Industries Ltd., and McDermid Agencies. For 25 years she lived in Los Angeles, California, returning to Pictou a year ago and resided at the Church St. Villa. She was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Pictou. She is survived by six brothers, Allister, Paul, James and Stan, all of Pictou; Walter, Los Angeles; Albert, Scoudouc, N.B.; two sisters, Laurel (Mrs Thomas DeCourcy), Newcastle, Ont.; Rita (Mrs Joseph Walker), New Glasgow as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Jack. Funeral service was held Monday, November 23 in Stella Maris Church, Pictou, Rev. Kyte Gillis officiating with readings by nephew F! rank McNeill and Niece Ann McNeill. Pallbearers, all nephews of the deceased, were Norman McNeill, Dartmouth; Stanley McNeill, Jr., Dartmouth; Stephen McNeill, Scoudouc, N.B.; Rob McNeill, Pictou; Vaughan Walker, New Glasgow and Jamie McNeill, Pictou. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
