Born in Middleboro, he was a son of the late Mansfield and Elizabeth (Fisher) O'Brien. He was a member of the Orange Lodge and the R.A.O.B. Lodge, Springhill. He worked more than 40 years as an auto mechanic. Besides his wife, the former Hilda Leota Dill, he is survived by a son; two daughters; three sisters, including Hilda (Mrs James Nicholson), Pictou; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son; four brothers; two sisters. Funeral was held Saturday, Apr. 16 in A. H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, Rev. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Middleboro. Donations may be made to any charity.
