Born in New Glasgow, she was the former Dolina (Dolly) MacKay. She was a daughter of the late George K. and Malcena (MacIver) MacKay. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Gairloch. She had taught school for several years. Surviving are her husband, Baillie; a son, David, of Greenwood; two grandchildren; three sisters, Isobel (Mrs. John Wesley), of New Glasgow; Grace (Mrs. Joseph Richard), Kenzieville; and Joy (Mrs. Douglas Williams), Bedford; three brothers, Robert, Trenton; David, Halifax; and Donald, of James River. She was predeceased by an infant brother and sister. Her remains are resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, with visiting today from 7-9 p.m., and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Gairloc! h, with interment in Gairloch Cemetery. Donations may be made to the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. The New Glasgow Evening News, Saturday, April 4, 1987 - GAIRLOCH - The funeral for Mrs. Baillie (Dolly) Matheson was held in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Gairloch on Monday, March 30. The service was conducted by the Rev. Patrick Maxham, who brought a comforting message to the family. The church choir led in the singing of the 23rd Psalm and Abide With Me, accompanied by the church organist. Pallbearers were John David MacKenzie, Neil Matheson, Jack Ferguson, nephews Steven and Tony Richard and Chris Wesley. Interment was in Gairloch Cemetery.
