My mother's (Katherine McClintock) mother was an Isabelle M. MacLeod she recalls from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia who's father was a Roderick (Rorey) MacLeod of Pictou NS, and mother was Sarah Cambell listed from Scotland. Isabelle MacLeod immigrated to the US in 1898 (US Census- 1920) at about 20 years old. She had a fair sized family many of which also immigrated to the US. Do you know or have heard of this family, are they related to the people you reference ? I would like very much to share information.
