Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of Freda (Hatfield) Cadwell, Westville, and the late Albert Cadwell. She was a member of the Salvation Army Corps, Westville, the Ruth Unit, United Church Women, Westville, and the ladies auxiliary of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 35, Westville. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Mrs Brian O'Brien), Westville; a son, Jamie, at home; four sisters, Isabel (Mrs James Dooley) and Elizabeth (Mrs Robert Baillie), both of Westville; Helen (Mrs James Hayes Jr.) and Iola (Mrs Joseph Price), both of Stellarton; a brother, Buddy, Toronto; a granddaughter. She was predeceased by a sister Hazel MacEachern, and an infant daughter, Vicki. The body has been cremated. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23, in the Salvation Army Citadel, Westville. Burial will be in A! uburn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
