Born in Milton, Ont., he was a son of the late Harold and Margaret (Baillie) Michie. He was an overseas veteran of the Second World War. He farmed in Union Centre for eight years. He is survived by his wife, the former Verna MacCallum; two daughters, Karen (Mrs Jon Maizier), Miami Beach, and Linda (Mrs Jack Fraser), Stewiacke; a brother, John, Georgetown, Ont., and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, David and George. Funeral was held Tuesday, May 3 in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. The body was cremated. Donations may be made to any charity.
