Hi Wayne, Sorry, I haven't heard of this book, and I have most of them relating to Pictou County. If it's any help, I have the book "Place-Names and Places of Nova Scotia", with entries on Avondale, Hants County, and Avondale Station in Pictou County. Each has a short description of the community history including who the founding families are. If you would like me to email you one of these, please let me know which community. Hello Rick: Can I but in here and ask you a question? I have a Cameron in my past and I cannot find her. I have a scrap of paper that I've had for 40 years with some names on them and all I knew was where in NS these people lived, approximately. And I'm now just starting this research. I don't know where any records are, nor do I know what census are available online. Perhaps you could give me some direction as where to go first? John Kennedy and Mary Cameron had a son Roderick Kennedy born c.1846 somewhere in NS. He was Catholic What I did find was that Roderick & Mary were on the 1881 Census living in New Glasgow. A researcher found for me that they married 1871 in Ohio, Antigonish. AND THAT'S ALL I KNOW. I know nothing about this province and even where to start. Can anyone help guide me?
