Born in Bay View, Pictou County, he was a son of the late John and Isabel (Johnston) Reid. He was a farmer in Bay View, and after settling in Truro he was employed with the farm staff of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. He is survived by a brother, Charles, Bible Hill; a sister, Hazel, South Spring; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Minnie Weatherbee. Funeral service was Thursday, Mar. 10 in Ettinger Kennedy Memorial Residence, Truro, Rev. Richard Humby officiating. Spring burial will be in Sea View Cemetery, Pictou. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart Foundation.
