Born in Stellarton, she was the former Beverly (sic) Muir, daughter of the late Charles and Jennie (MacKay) Muir. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Name, Westville. She is survived by her husband, Frank; two daughters, Debra and Stephanie, at home; three sons, Frank Jr., Trevor and Shane, all at home. Also surviving are five sisters: Mrs. Muriel Pitts, Clara (Mrs. William Gray), Westville; and Rose (Mrs. Leo Molyneaux), Pictou; Catherine (Mrs. Jack Phalen), Victoria, B.C., and Violet (Mrs. Orval Hines), Media, Penn.; three brothers, Claude and Robert, Stellarton; Alec, Toronto. She was predeceased by a brother Albert and a sister, Alice. Her remains are resting at the Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, with visiting commencing at 7 p.m. today. Funeral service will be held ! from the Church of the Holy Name on Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The Pictou Advocate, Wednesday, February 4, 1987 - Mrs Beverley (sic) Porter, 44, of Spring Garden Road, Westville, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, at home. Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Jennie (MacKay) Muir. She was a member of The Church of The Holy Name. She is survived by her husband, Frank; two daughters, Debra and Stephanie, at home; three sons, Frank, Trevor and Shane, all at home; five sisters, Mrs Muriel Pitts and Clara (Mrs William Gray), both of Westville; Rose (Mrs Leo Molyneaux), Pictou; Catherine (Mrs Jack Phalen), Victoria, B.C. Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday in The Church of The Holy Name, Father J.H. MacDonald officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
