Polson, 65, of 116 Pleasant St., Stellarton, died Thursday, Jan. 7 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Evansville, Pictou County, he was a son of the late Daniel and Leona (Gray) Polson. He was a resident of Stellarton all his life. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Pictou Highlanders; a retired employee of the Drummond Coal Mine, Westville; a member of Branch 28, Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton; a member of the East Coast Side Band Club; and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton. He is survived by his wife, the former Audrey Dale; two stepsons, Tom and Vernon, both of Hamilton, Ont.; a daughter, Gloria (Mrs Ralph Belong), Westville; six grandchildren; a brother, Francis, Sydney; a sister, Catherine (Mrs John MacKay), Thorburn. He was predeceased by an infant brother. Funeral was held Sunday, Jan. 10 in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, Rev. Murdo Marp! le officiating. Burial was in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
