Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Campbell) McGillivray. She was a member of St. Anne's Church and St. Anne's Sodality. She taught piano and was a member of Musician's Union. She was a pianist for the Steve McGillivray Orchestra in the 1940s and played piano at local theatres. She is survived locally by a son, Rev. Bill, Trenton. The remains are resting at V.J. MacGillivray's Funeral Home, Glace Bay. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anne's Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. She is survived by two sons, including Rev. Bill, Trenton; two sisters; two brothers and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert; a daughter and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anne's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
