We regret, says a CAnadian Journal, to chronicle the death of a most respectable citizen, Mr. Craig,of the firm of Campbell & Co; which took place yesterday. The firm being engaged lately in the building operation, it appears that Mr. Craig, having gone to Princeton to procure lumber, was standing in the center of the track waiting to couple the cars. The lumber reached over the ends of the cars and these being pushed together his head was was caught between the ends of the lumber and crushed. He fell instantly and expired without a word. Mr. Craig was a native of Nova Scotia ( Truro) from whence he had returned but a few days from witnessing the interment of his mother. Mr Craig was a man of many friends and by his upright conduct and obliging manners he won the respect of all. He has left a widow and five young children.
