Roberts, 70, Margaree Valley, died Wednesday, July 22 at Inverness Memorial Hospital. Born in Canso, he was the son of the late Arthur and Martha (Hurst) Roberts. He was a veteran of the Second World War and was employed with the Department of National Defence. He is survived by a daughter, two sons, including David, Westville; a sister, four brothers and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Esther Kaiser; a sister and three brothers. Funeral service was at 10 a.m., Saturday in St. Mark's Church. Burial was in the Port Bickerton Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart Foundation.
