Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late James and Virginia (Tye) Zwicker. She served overseas during the Second World War in the Canadian Women's Army Corps and was a member of the army reserve following the war. She was employed by the Unemployment Insurance Commission for 25 years, retiring in 1979. She is survived by her husband, Clifford. She was predeceased by three brothers: Lawrence, James and William; a sister, Jenny. The remains are resting in Rowling's Funeral Home, Musquodoboit Harbour, where funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Visiting from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 .m. today. The remains will be cremated and interment will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association. The Pictou Advocate, Wednesday, February 11, 1987 printed the same obituary, with the following additional information: date of death was Monday, Feb. 9; Rev. R. Humble officiated at the funeral.
