Reid, 72, Black Point, died Tuesday in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Black Point, he was the son of the late Stewart and Jessie (Wilson) Reid. He was a retired fisherman and a member of Little Harbour Presbyterian Church, a former member of the board of managers, a trustee of Little Harbour Cemetery, a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the West Nova Highlanders. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Heather; one daughter, Heather (Mrs. David Fraser), Little Harbour; four sons: Donald A. (Sandy) and John A., Little Harbour; Roderick S., Sydney, B.C.; and James C., Dartmouth; eight grandchildren; two brothers: Jim, Montreal; and George, Little Harbour; four sisters: Mrs. Willena Martin, New Glasgow; Marg (Mrs. Frank McGee), Merigomish; Anne (Mrs. Herb Cormier), Truro; Jean (Mrs. Jack Morrison), Kimberley, B.C. The remains will rest at the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgo! w after 7 p.m. today. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday from Little Harbour Presbyterian Church. Interment will be held at a later date. Donations to the Little Harbour Presbyterian Church or any charity.
