09 Jan. 1858 - Died - On Sunday afternoon, the 3rd of Jan; at his residence in Halifax, the Honorable Simon Bradstreet Robie, in the 88th year of his age. 23 Jan. 1858 _ Married - At Boston, Mass., 24th Dec., Edward A., s/o Alexander Archibald, of Truro, to Miss Adah, d/o Mr. Moore, of Boston. 30 Jan.1858 - Died - At inquest was held before David V. Crowe, one of the coroners for the County of Colchester, on the body of John Bartlett, miner, who was killed at the Londonderry Iron Mines, by a quantity of earth falling on him, causing almost instant death. The deceased was a native of Cornwall, England, almost 40 years of age; leaving a wife and 2 children to lament their loss - COLONIST. 13 Mar.1858 - Married - At Welford, Richibucto,18th inst; by Rev. Jas. Law, A.M., Charles N. Cummings, of Londonderry, N.S. to Margaret Eunice, eldest d/o William Doherty. - Died - At Masstown, Londonderry, 8th Feb., after a long and protracted illness, Mrs. Lavinia Fletcher, widow of the late Capt. Thomas, aged 80 years.
