I am looking for information, and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My great great grandfather was named George Fisher Talbot. Looking over his death records, and marriage intentions, I have managed to glean a small amount of information about his parents. He states that his fathers name was Daniel Talbot (Talbott) on two of the documents, and that it was Charles Talbot(Talbott) on two others. Not knowing which was correct I have been trying to follow both. There is also some confusion as to where his father was born. Trenton, New Jersey is listed on the death certificate by his widow, but on all of the marriage intentions he lists Nova Scotia. I understand that there is a Trenton, Nova Scotia, and am hoping to try there. He was born before 1859, as that is when his son was born, and died between 1896, and 1905, most likely in Nova Scotia. Doe's this name sound familiar to anyone? I have already tried to obtain a birth record, but haven't had much success. I think he was probably a carpenter of some sort, or worked with wood, possibly on a ship. Does anyone have any ideas? I would really appreciate the input. Sincerely, Tammie Benefiel Elko, NV
