John Martin, on Monday evening, Alexander McKay, to Miss Jane Munro, both of Kemptown, County of Colchester. 23 Feb.1856 -Died - At Londonderry, Feb.1st; Alexander Vernier ( NOVASCOTIAN, of March3 says: Verner), in his 69th year of his age, an old and respectable inhabitant of that place, leaving a large family to lament their loss. --Also,Capt. Robert Eastman, in the 81st year of his age, an old and respectable inhabitant. 29 Mar. 1856 - Married - At Truro, 22 inst; by Rev. T.C. Leaver, W.S. Symonds, Merchant of this city, to Miss Agnes, d/o the Late Adam D. Sherriff, Esq; of Chatham, Miramichi. 05 Apr.1856- Died - On Tuesday evening, 1st April, after a short illness, William Drysdale, aged 82 years, an old and respectable inhabitant of Brookside. He left Scotland with his parents at 9 years of age. He experienced the dangers of the sea for 14 years in his Majesty's service and finally came to live with his parents in this country and there ended his days in peace. He has left a large number of relations and friends to mourn the loss of a kind father and friend. (possible not a Colchester item). Items taken from the context of William T.
