Born in Collingwood, he was a son of Clyde Ripley and the late Pansy (Stonehouse) Ripley. He was a track master with Canadian National Railway until his retirement earlier this year. He is survived by a son, Terry, Springhill; four brothers, Donald, Millvale; Ronald and Hedley, Clearwater, B.C.; Ian, Lynn Lake, Man.; two sisters, Mrs Louella MacKinnon and Mrs Jean Mackay, both of Springhill. He was predeceased by two brothers, Graham and Glendon. The body rested in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, Oxford, where funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Marilyn Carter officiating. Spring burial will be in United Church Cemetery, Millvale.
