Born in Hantsport, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Matheson) Turnbull. She was employed for more than eight years as a guide at Uniacke House in Mount Uniacke, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church, Mount Uniacke. She is survived locally by a stepsister, Mae (Mrs. Silver Hilchey), Moose River and a stepbrother, Harry Horne, Moose River. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert H.; a son, Garnet; two brothers, Charles and Thomas; her stepmother, the former Elsie Prest Horne; two stepsisters, Mabel and Etta. The remains are resting in R.D. Lindsay Funeral Home, Windsor. Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Paul's United Church, Mount Uniacke. Interment will be in Union Church Cemetery, Mount Uniacke.
