Died - At Upper Stewiacke, Wednesday, 9th inst; William Creelman, Sr; in the 74th year of his age - much lamented by a large circle of friends. At Truro,11th Aug.; Elizabeth McGown, w/o Samuel Craig, Sr; aged 72 years.[ The deceased emigrated from County Antrim, Ireland in 1820 - NOVASCOTIAN, of Sept.21st] At Princeton Station of the Great Western Railway, Canada, Aug. 20th; John Craig, aged 39, s/o the above. We regret, says a Canadian Journal, to chronicle the death of a most respectable citizen, Mr. Craig, of the firm of Campbell & Co., which took place yesterday. The firm being engaged lately in building operations, it appears that Mr. Craig, having gone to Princeton to procure lumber, was standing in the center of the tracks waiting to couple the cars. The lumber reached over the end of the cars and these being pushed together his head was caught between the ends of the lumber and crushed. He fell instantly and expired without a word. Mr. Craig was a native of Nova Scotia ( Truro) from whence he had returned but a few days from witnessing the interment of his mother. Mr. Craig was a man of many friends and by his upright conduct and obliging manners he won respect of all. He has left a widow and five young children. At Upper Stewiacke,2nd inst; Amelia, w/o Daniel S. Cox, in the 68th year of her age. At Truro, on the 17th inst; of whooping cough, Arthur B., infant s/o John Burnyeat, Esq; aged 2 years and 5 months.
