Yes this Grant information could be what I'm searching for. My Grandfather use to tell his family that his cousin was Frederick Grant Banting. We have been stumped for several years as my Gr. Grandfather was Hugh Grant came from Nova Scotia and he use to tell the family that his family owned the Strathspey Farm near Merigomish. But we have been unable to varify who Hugh's parents were or there is a conflict of information. Did Angus and Jane have a son Hugh Grant that left Pictou County and went to the USA in about 1867?
