Hello I am new to this list. I am descended from Gregor McGregor/ MacGregor/ MacGriggor who settled near Avondale in Pictou County. He was from Perthshire Scotland we think, born c. 1752, and fought for the British in The American Revolutionary War. When his unit demustered in 1784, he took a land grant in Pictou. About 1818 he and some of his family moved to the Lake Ainslie area of Cape Breton. One of his daughters married Alexander Hattie. His wife's name was Isabella Morris MacDonald.
