John Hedrick and Agnes brother had a store together in a gold mining town in Victoria - Bunningyong. This store is still standing today with the names Brydon Hedrick above it. Could we be related? Rick: When you get back to your notes let me know what you find! BLANCHARD/BLANCHARD ROAD, Pictou County: This rural area is located about three miles north-west of Sutherland Lake. It was named after Col. Blanchard of Truro who cut out the road to gain access to some of his land. William Cummings was one of the early settlers. Donald (my GGGG Grandfather) and Alexander Fraser came from Scotland in 1805 and settled on Blanchards Road. Hi Bill, I have Catherine, d/o Charles and Christena, b. Apr. 1865, marrying a George Fraser, b. Sep. 1864, of Little Harbour on 18 June 1885 in Westville. They had a daughter Lillian born in Dec 1881. I haven't found anythong more on this family. Perhaps this is why, if they moved to Rhode Island..... I am trying to find if there may be a connection between these McIvor's and the George McIvor who settled at Toney River for a time in 1803 and later Washabuck, Cape Breton Island in 1817. Margaret Allison Clark or Margaret Jane Clark (1850-1888) was the first wife of my great great grandfather James Joseph Davies (born 1845 in Scotch Hill, NS; died 1935 in Westville, NS). To my knowledge, they had 7 children. I have some information on this family except those who left to the USA. After Margaret's death, James Joseph Davies married Mary Jane MacDonald (born 1858 in Rogers Hill, NS; died 1945 in Westville, NS). They had 10 children. My grandfather Thomas Blackwood Davies was one of the children from this marriage. Please let me know if your information about Robert Clark and Maria or Marion Sutherland corresponds with mine so we can exchange information. I will look at my transcriptions for Foxbrook as well as I will no doubt have that and probably a pic as well. ( I recorded all Frasers gravestones whether related or not.) This weekend is probably not doable to get to the library. I have to travel north to Sudbury for my mothers 83rd birthday... Rick My aunt said he is buried in the Foxbrook Cemetery and she with Alexander Muir, her first husband in St Phillips cemetery in Westville I dont have their obits either and would appreciate them as well.I am not sure if I have a still pic of the tombstone of Margaret my great grandmother but I have a video. Thanks for the info Bessie. I will see if the Chronicle Herald microfilm at the Toronto Ref library might contain an obit for Margaret Muir. If I remember right, they didn't put much info in that paper from Pictou area during that time. It seemed to be all Halifax and Sydney. Hello, Any chance someone might have any knowledge or record of an obituary for John C. Fraser of Westville? He was a son of Charles Fraser and Christena Cameron, born in 1844 at Island East River but lived most of his life in Westville. His first marraiage was to Janet Anderson, and third marriage was to a Margaret Muir of Eureka or Hopewell in 1906. A newspaper article in 1927 stated he was living in Riverton. I searched the Nova Scotia Vitals on-line but can't find a death record for him or Margaret (Muir) Fraser. Thanks for any help, Rick MacNeil

Diane, thank you very much for sharing the LENT family information with me. Although I never met Frank or Catherine [known as Cassie in the family] over the years Cassie always remembered her sister Alice's [my mother] family. Whenever there was a wedding in the family we could count on Cassie to send a telegram of congratulations. We knew her son Frankie and daugher Alice Romayne very well as they often visited us in our Detroit, MI home. In your note you mention Jennie Campbell a sister-in-law of Murial [who I didn't know personally but wrote to her from time to time]. Do you know who her husband was or is? What are the names of Lena Lent Campbell's two daughters-in-law and what are their husbands names? About what year would they have been born and do you know how I might get in touch with them....email or snail mail?
