    3. Hi Rick This particular Hugh Fraser is buried in Marshdale Cemetery. I sent the information about him to a gentleman in New Zealand last week, but unfortunately can't remember his name. He was trying to contact Duncan Fraser who was a descendant of this Hugh Fraser. I advised him that Duncan was now deceased and also I sent him Duncan's obituary. Duncan's brother Ian is still living in Halifax. He is the gentleman who was in charge of the "International Tattoo" that is held in Halifax every year. The stone in Marshdale reads: 1. Hugh Fraser (1754-1808) and his wife Margaret Wishard (1754-1842). Incidentally, the Marshdale district still exists. It is a mile or so west of the village of Hopewell. Foxbrook is more or less north-west of Hopewell. Regards, Doug. S. Richard MacNeil wrote: > Hi there TC & SM, > > I may have something for you...... 3. Hi there TC & SM, I may have something for you...... I have more material to go through but can't look at any more tonight. I'm wondering if we might be related..... Marshdale, I think is now known as Foxbrook, is next door to Eureka and Island, East River where my ggg grandfather Simon cleared land in 1806. An Alexander Fraser was living next door to him, also clearing land. The two of them transferred their properties to their sons on the same day, Feb 28, 1840. Alexander had sons William and James. Simon had sons William, Charles, Alexander and Frederick. Unfortunately I have nothing to connect them as brothers but suspect they are....... I have a web site, a little bit out of date though at "http://www3.sympatico.ca/rick.macneil " if you care to take a look. 3. Hi Mary, I don't know if you are aware of the Richie records (later transcribed onto a computer file and named the Stone Records.) They might be a good bet to find what you are looking for. Perhaps someone on the list would offer to do the lookup for you if they are handy to the New Glasgow library. I was at Auburn Cemetery last year looking for the burial place of my maternal ggg grandparents and the people tending the grounds sent me over to the Eagles Funeral Home in Westville, saying they had the plot layouts. They weren't able to help me because the time frame I was looking for was too old, the 1850s. So these people might be another source for you to contact. Sorry I can't look up the Richie/Stone records but I'm not close to Pictou County. Cheers, Rick Mary & Larry wrote: >Does anyone have a listing for Auburn Cemetery in Westville? 3. I don't have the Tatamagouche book Kathleen, but I see that the Land Grant Map for Tatamagouche is number 78, one I don't have have..... but it can be ordered from the NS Dept of Natural Resources for only $5. The url is :"http://www.gov.ns.ca/natr/library/histmaps.htm#crown" to get the phone number and instructions. I've ordered from them before and they are very helpful folk. If you find out that your Roberts fellow did in fact obtain a grant, they will photocopy the grant document for you at a small fee as well. They have a top quality copier too! Good luck! 3. Hi I believe it is Pictou - Haliburton. At least that is what it says on the list I got from the Archives. 3. Would anyone happen to have any book(s) on the history of Tatamagouche, Colchester County and would be willing to do a look-up for me? I have heard 'by way of the grapevine' that in one of the above-named books a ROBERTS is mentioned as having received a land grant in Bayhead, Colchester County as a reward for serving as a soldier in a war for the British. I would be grateful to anyone who may be able to help me in regards to this. Kathleen plister@nbnet.nb.ca

    3. Does anyone have a listing for Auburn Cemetery in Westville? If so could you please find a listing for a MARGARET CATHERINE (nee MUIR) McDONALD. She was born Jul. 19 1870 died circa 1922? His first husband was ALEXANDER MACMILLAN (DOB and death not known) It's possible Alexander MacMillan was buried there also. If so, I'd like whatever information is listed for him. They may not have stone marking the graves. Thanks in advance, Mary
