Hello list Has anyone ever come across James Boyd born early 1800s who married Hannah Vaughan born early to mid 1800s. They eventually settled in Hants/Kings county. Thank you for any and all replies.
Hi Elizabeth: No, We haven't been able to connect our "McColl" surname with any other surname in the (River Inhabitants), Inverness,Cape Breton area yet, but we are always on the look out, or ( look up) for some connection. Our Grt.Grt.Grandfather was "Dugland" McColl from R.I. His wife Margaret gave birth to our Grt. grandfather Neal McColl in 1842 in R.I. This information and the spelling of his Given name comes from Neal and Susanna Frances Tupper/McColl's marriage certificates dated 1868. We, (my cousins Rosalie Perrin, Clayton MacCall ) and I would love to break through this brick wall some time soon. The data can be found at :"http://www.rootsweb.com/~nspictou/cem_greenwood.htm" Hope this helps solve a mystery for a few of you anyway! Cheers, Rick MacNeil
