To All:- VERY SPECIAL REQUEST Could we forget about the 1881 CD and things that will still be here for just a few minutes and follow Gordon's request. Let's work together, put our efforts into obtaining release of the 1911 census. If WE do not try -- WE may never be able to peek at it! I will even give free "look-overs" of any faxes, if requested. Muriel M. Davidson muriel_davidson@sympatico.ca Co-Chair, Canada Census Committee NOW on to an important message from Gordon A. Watts:- Greetings All. For those sending polite faxes to Industry Minister, The Hon. Allan Rock requesting his immediate action to ensure continued access to Historic Census records in accordance with the National Archive of Canada Act and the Privacy Act, there seems to be some confusion as to what number to send it to. The number posted previously was (613) 992-0302 . This number is for his fax in the Ministry offices. [Long distance -- add 1 before 613] The fax number for his office as an MP is (613) 947-4276. Both numbers are valid, and perhaps we should be sending our requests to both locations. After sending your fax, drop it in an envelope and send it to him via snail mail. [Free postage -- a bonus!] Mail to House of Commons, Parliament Buildings, Ottawa, ON K1A 0A6 Happy Hunting. Gordon A. George Munro died in 1850 leaving his Little Caribou Island property to sons, William, George, Andrew, and John. (His son, Alexander had already been given part). Details of whereabouts of all except William are known. No record of him after 1852. He was born either about 1816 or 1822. Does anyone have any clues? Can't find how he disposed of his share of the property. Robert
