Hi folks, I've just added Vera (Priest) Patterson to the surname registry. She is researching the PRIEST surname in Priestville and other areas in Pictou County. (Not all of us have a community named after us, must be nice<g>! ) I've included a snippet from Vera's email as it might be of help to others.... Aaron Priest and his wife Martha (Coley) came from England to Blue Mountain first, then his brother Noah came and settled in the Pictou area. Aaron's son Moses Priest lived in Priestville. Priestville was named after him. There are still Priest family members living in Blue Mountain, Pictou, Priestville, New Glasgow, Stellarton, Trenton and Westville who are related to these brothers. If anyone else is also researching this surname and has information to share, please contact Vera at "mailto:vera_patterson@hotmail.com". Good luck! Rick MacNeil
