    3. Hi Bruce, I am basically trying to research the following: My 2nd gg; Alexander Grant, b. abt 1834, East River, Pictou, NS, marr. 30 Dec 1856 to Nancy/Annie Ross, and died 24 Oct 1881, at Sunnybrae, Pictou. My 3rd gg; Robert Grant, chr. 9 Jul 1797 at Glen Urquhart, Inverness, Scotland, marr. 29 Jul 1824 at Pictou to Mary McDonald. He died bef 171 at Sunnybrae, I believe. Mary died about 1883. My 4th gg: John Grant, b. 1750/1770 at Glen Urquhart, marrying abt 1770/1789 to Margaret McIntosh. He died about 1826 at Sunnybrae. My 5th gg; James Grant, b. abt 1725 at Glen Urquhart, marrying Janet Grant on 13 Feb 1755 Inverness, Scotland. I believe they lived at Millstream, Pictou, NS. My suggested 6th gg: Iain (John) Grant, b. abt 1705 of Glen Urquhart, Inverness, Scotland (Loch Meikle, Sct.) I don't know who his wife was, but do believe he had 3 children: James, my 5th gg, Alpin, b. 15 mar 1740, chr 16 Mar 1740, Meikle, Inverness, Sct., possibly died about 1828, of East River, Pictou, NS. Also, a possible daughter Mary. Not sure if all the above is correct, would appreciate corrections and advice. Will be glad to share what I have. Thanks for your reply. Suzie, of Shelton, Washington

    1. Re: [CAN-NS-PICTOU] Frasers from West Branch of the East River
    2. I am interested in data on the Alexander Fraser (Tailor) family of the East River. Alexander married Maragret Mc/MacDonald, probably around 1822. I only know of 2 children, Samuel and Annie. Annie died at age 18. Annie is buried in Bridgeville cemeteryt as are Alexander and Margaret. Samuel married Mary Armour Grant, dau of John Grant and Anne Murray Looking to add data to these lines I can add volumes about the family of Margaret MacDonald Regards, Ben MacDonald Glendale AZ ---- Bill <[email protected]> wrote: > > R. 1. [CAN-NS-PICTOU] Frasers from West Branch of the East River
    2. Jean Walton
    3. I have a son of James and Harriett Fraser who moved to Brady’s Bend, PA around 1870 to work in the mines. His name was James, and he married my gr-grandfather’s sister Sarah Blackwood. Do you have more information on this family that you would be willing to share?

    3. Bill - Thank you so much for this website and info! This has been a dead end for me for a long time! I found a C.F. Fraser listed as General Superintendant for the Logan Coal company in 1901 and I found their wedding registration from 1886 but that was it. I don't have any info on the Frasers - sorry - for years we thought Mary had married William Fraser, and only when I found the marriage registration did I discover it was Christopher and it also had Christophers parents listed. If I happen across anything else regarding the Frasers, I will be sure to pass it along to you. Again, many thanks!! (Mary would be my great grand aunt. Her brother Dan Grant is my great grandfather.) Roseanne --- Bill <[email protected]> wrote: > > R.
