It would be me who posted the message. (grin) I'm the grand-daughter of your Eliol's sister "Susie" I live in RI. I'm just putting all the family stories together. It's my understanding that Eliol had quite the experience in the RCN. My brother remembers more of this than I do, as he tells me we both met Eliol when we were young but I don't remember. My brother probably remembers so much more because he's six years my senior. He says that Eliol was shipwrecked three or four times and that he served on a ship of the flower corvette class in WW II. This is history that Eliol told my brother himself (my brother is a navy nut and always has been. If your mother was named for a Susie Billard, then it was definetely my gramma she was named after. Feel free to post me off list if you'd like to chat. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Hello! The main Catholic Cemetery is in Lismore and the very large cemetery is on the opposite side of the road from the church, serving all of the area including Bailey's Brook. The library in New Glasgow has a very good genealogical resource for pictou county and there is a genealogist on staff who is extremely helpful. As well, The Pictou County Roots Society has a room above the library and there are volunteers there who will be glad to help out. Also you may find records at the Hector Centre in Pictou, as they have a very extensive resource library. Lots of Luck! There are many, many, many MacDonalds!
