Peter had been involved in an accident that required them to put him in an institution as a young adult/older teen. The institution was in Manitoba and the family packed up and started farming near there. Kenneth and Nancy died near there and Thomas moved on to Saskatchewan, married and the line carried on. I know that Kenneth was from the Pictou area (or so his obituary says), but can't find any parents or siblings. Nancy does not appear nor their children. None of this family are registered in the 1881 census. Also I find no record of birth for the two fraser boys in a transcription of Col co. vstats for that period, and no record of death for Peter. Nova Scotia has a site where one can research historical vital stats online. I checked it out but drew a blank on the entire family.
