Sorry I can't figure out where he is living ..I'll keep looking .I was always told I was related to the Mc Nutt's in Colchester ,but the more I dig the more I'm not sure .I found a Mc Nutt In Pictou area in 1770 that isn't in the book , however what makes it so hard is not having a full name or middle initial .If you haven't checked this web site before it may be helpful or at least interesting . Quite a few years ago, I posted a query looking for information on the Evan McPherson family. I have since had my e-mail address changed so I'm asking again for help. This is what I know. Evan Pherson was born 1 Nov 1865 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. He was married to Ruby McDonald, b. 1875 in Nova Scotia. I do not have a marriage date or place. This couple emigrated to Negaunee, Marquette Co., Michigan, USA in 1898. Evan's parents were John McPherson (b. 1822) and Winifred Ann McQuerrie (b. 1830 Scotland). Ruby McDonald's parents were Alexander McDonald and Catherine McIntosh who were married in Nova Scotia. This is all the information that I have for these people. The information has been handed down to me. I would love to learn more about the family and be able to verify the information. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Witnesses: William Murray, Thomas B. Munger. Priest was L. Doolittle. They then moved to the states, first in Skaneteales, Onondaga, New York where a daughter was born in 1837, named Lucyette Earle McCabe. Ske later married a William Nelson Soule. She died in Hopkinsville, Christian, KY on August 5, 1920. In 1840, they are at he same place with 3 kids and an older woman, prob. Sarah, Lucy's mother. In 1847, they are in Kentucky where a son is born named James Alexander McCabe. In 1880, Lucy's family is in Paducah, McCracken, KY with her family: Nelson Soule, 45. Druggist, born in Ohio Lou E. his wife, 43, born in NY, parents born in Nova Sotia, Ca., most prob. Anthony Lee, their son, 17, born in KY Leslie, their son, born in KY Sarah McCabe, mother in-law, 72, born in Canada. Thence, Anthony must have died before 1880, most probably in KY. Vital Statistics from the Colonial Patriot (Pictou) Dec 1827-May 1834 mentions Reverend Anthony Fulton McCabe's marriage to Sarah Sherrar. But they misidentied her last name. My question is: Where was Anthony Fulton Anthony born, when, who were his parents? Thank you! Jean-Pierre Joncas, ing. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Before i get to that - I found a marrage certificate Mary Ann Elliott aged 18 daughter of Joseph married to Alexander Mc Donald -both from four mile brook . The census of 1871 shows Ann as widow with daugher Mary aged 17 The marriage shows her 18 in Aug 1871 .THe census could have been done early in the same year .There are 5 other children listed with Ann. Now today I discovered that my grandfather's mother was Mary Elliot -not the one above -at least I can stop looking at the King conection . I recorded all Elliott names ,family members and birth dates as well as area they lived in. I didn't have enough time to go through the cemetery records but I will record all that I find -maybe some of this will helpyou or if you have other names . I will contine to look for Joseph in the cemetery records .Also you have some information on Mc nutt's . Mary Elliot ,my grandfather's mother married in March 1870 to James ! Polley and in 1871 cencus she is back at her parents as Mary Mc Nutt with a 3 month old son named Chas Mitchel Mc Nutt .Now there's a mistery. I do have the Mc Nutt family Book but there doesn't seem to be a conection , however there are alot of Mc Nutt's in Pictou Co that don't seem to be related to the ones in the book , So if you have any strangers in your collection please let me know .Why are you looking for only one Elliott ? I may need your help in completing this puzzle. To bad you don't live near by . Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
