OBIT # 5150 - HALIFAX HERALD - 20 NOV 1961 Mr. MacCready was killed when the car he was driving ran into the rear of a trailer truck near the Halifax International Airport. ... Mr. MacCready, a banker, was a leader in community affairs. A native of Moncton, he grew up in New Glasgow but had lived in Stellarton for the past 11 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Myrtle Walker of Truro; daughter Marilyn, Halifax; son David at home; sisters Irene (Mrs. Bigleow MacKenzie), St. Louis; and Jean, Oakland, Calif. Remains are resting at the family home on Albion Avenue. The funeral service will take place today at 2:30 p.m. from Sharon St. John United Church with Rev. D.C. Boothroyd officiating. Interment will be in the family lot at Lorne Street cemetery, New Glasgow.
