UNKNOWN PAPER - 31 JULY 1976 MRS. THOMAS R. JOHNSON, 86, of Great Village, died Saturday at home. Born in Tatamagouche Mountain, she was the former Janet R. DRYSDALE, daughter of the late Albert and Mary (MacKAY) DRYSDALE. She was an active member of the Women's Institute, a member of the Presbyterian Church and attended Dalhousie University in her younger years. She was a former school teacher. Surviving are three sons, Dr. Arthur, Castlegar, B.C.; Thomas and Dr. Aubrey E., both of Great Village; a daughter, Dorothy (Mrs. Alfred LINKLETTER), Point Claire, Que,; a sister, Carrie (Mrs. M.L. URQUHART), Truro; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Thomas R., and two daughters. The body is at the family residence, Great Village. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:30 in St. James United Church, Great Village, Rev. R.B. MacCAULL officiating. Interment will be in Great Village cemetery.
