The Chronicle Herald, Monday, 13 May 1968 MRS. VIDA ESTELLE SPONAGLE, 83, Truro, widow of John E. Sponagle, died Saturday in Colchester Hospital. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Lois and David Graham Whidden. Surviving are two daughters, Joan (Mrs. Hector Greville), Willowdale, Ont.; Billie (Mrs. Donald Robson), Bedford; three sisters, Mrs. Perry Borden, Ohio; Mrs. Tom Sterling, Schenectady, N.Y.; Mrs. Herman Arnold, Victoria, B.C.; two brothers, Howard Whidden, Wolfville; and Edgar Whidden, Texas; and 7 grandchildren. The body is at Kennedy Memorial Residence, where funeral service will be held Monday at 3.30 p.m., Rev. Dana Lamb officiating. Interment will be in Robie Street Cemetery.
