OBIT # 5057 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - 22 AUGUST 1935 WILLIAM J.MACLEOD-There passed away at White Hill on July 18th, one of its most prominent citizens in the person of WILLIAM MACLEOD at the age of 58 years, after an illness of three months which he bore without a murmur or complaint. The late Mr. MacLeod was twice married. His first wife was MARGARET MacCAFFRAY of Marshdale who died in 1921. In 1927 he married Mrs. ANNIE MacENERY who also predeceased him. Two sons,JOHN JAMES, and HERMAN, also a daughter, CATHERINE ELOISE predeceased him some years ago. He is survived by one son WILLIAM GLOVER of White Hill, and one sister Mrs. ROBERT BOUCHER,of Oakland,California. The funeral service was held from the First Presbyterian Church, Hopewell, conducted by the Rev.A.O.Roscamp. Interment at Marshdale cemetery.
