UNKNOWN PAPER - 6 JUNE 1967 MINNIE ANN HEUGHENS - Tatamagouche - The funeral of Mrs. Minnie Ann HUEGHENS whose death occurred at the home of her daughter Mrs. Harold BLOOD, Braintree, Mass., on Monday, May 29, was held at Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche on Thursday afternoon, June 1, at 2 o'clock with Rev. James A. FRASER conducting the service. Hymns led by the choir were "There Is a Green Hill Far Away" and "Safe in The Arms of Jesus" and "The Old Rugged Cross" was sung as a solo by John Coulter. She was 96 and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Israel LYNDS, Central North River. She is survived by two daughters, Lizzie (Mrs. Harold BLOOD) Braintree, Mass., Reta (Mrs. John MATHESON), Framingham, Mass., two sons, Burt, on the home place, Tatamagouche; Allister in Toronto, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her husband Thomas HEUGHENS, predeceased her 26 years ago and one son, Ernest, predeceased her two and a half years ago. The many and beautiful floral tributes bore a silent testimony of the esteem in which she was held. Pallbearers were Roland Bonnyman, Tatamagouche; Laurie SWAN, Central New Annan; Byron YUILL, Halifax; Claude LYNDS, Douglas MacKENZIE and David WRIGHT, all of Truro. Interment was in the Sunnybrae Cemetery, French River, Col. Co.
