Abel Jodrey 1939 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Abel Jodrey which took place at his home in New Germany, on Monday, January 16th., after a short illness, at the age of eighty-five years, removes one of the oldest citizens of the community. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Sophia Jodrey, Maitland. He is survived by one brother, Cornelius Jodrey, Blue Mountain, Kings County; a son, Theophilus, who resides at home; a daughter, Lida (Mrs. Leigh Veinotte), New Germnay; also seven grand-children. After a short service at the home on Wednesday afternoon, the cortege proceeded to St. John's-in-the-Wilderness Anglican Church, of which the deceased was a faithful member. Rev. C. Veinot officiated.
